Prayagraj: Sleuths of the government railway police (GRP) on Tuesday arrested two Automatic Ticket Vending Machine facilitators on the charges of selling fake tickets of long distances to passengers. Vinay Shukla (23) and Gaurav Pandey (37), residents of Kareli and Khuldabad, were deployed at AVTM facility at Prayagraj Junction. Police have also seized cash worth Rs 2,480, two mobiles, ID cards and other documents from them.Their duty was to provide general tickets to passengers. However, they would procure general tickets for long-distance trains hours in advance and then arrange multiple counterfeit copies of the tickets with the help their associate, Fahad, a resident of Chowk, and then return the original tickets to reclaim the money paid for them. Subsequently, they would sell these fraudulent tickets to passengers, thereby earning illicit money. tnn
