Saturday, September 12

Two powerful beams of light illuminated the New York skyline on the anniversary of the September 11 attacks, recreating the iconic outline of the Twin Towers. The annual Tribute in Light installation transformed the night sky as the United States remembered the nearly 3,000 people killed in the 2001 terror attacks. The twin beams, visible across New York and beyond, have become one of the most recognizable symbols of remembrance for the victims of 9/11. As the anniversary brings back memories of the devastating attacks, the illuminated skyline once again serves as a solemn tribute to those who lost their lives.
