Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian met President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi on the sidelines of the 18th BRICS Summit. Pezeshkian is in India for the BRICS gathering, where Iran is participating as one of the grouping’s 11 members. His visit comes amid heightened geopolitical tensions in West Asia and growing discussions within BRICS on regional stability, trade and economic cooperation.
