Chennai: State govt appointed TVK spokesperson A Layola Mani as the chairman of the Tamil Nadu Textbook and Educational Services Corporation.According to the appointment order issued on July 9, the tenure of Mani will be three years from the date of issuing the order. Earlier, DMK functionary and orator Dindigul I Leoni served as the chairman of the corporation during the DMK tenure.Mani has turned out to be the latest among the loyalists and close associates of chief minister C Joseph Vijay being appointed to key govt posts. The first was Ricky Radhan Pandit, who was posted as officer on special duty (political) but was eventually dropped due to criticism. After that movie producer K Venkata Narayana was appointed Tamil Nadu’s special representative in New Delhi, Jagadish Palaniswamy was appointed private secretary (political) to the chief minister while cinematographer Manoj Paramahamsa, was posted as chairman of govt MGR Film and Television Institute.
