The chief minister held a review meeting with the temple trust personnel and later said the organisation has decided to extend Aadhaar-based online insurance to devotees.
“TTD has decided to offer insurance to every devotee in partnership with LIC. Rs 2 lakh will be extended through this insurance in the event of death,” he said.
Naidu, reflecting on the SV Museum he inaugurated earlier in the day, said TCS Trust established the building at a cost of Rs 104 crore and would run it for the next five years.
The CM highlighted that a healing experience centre was set up under the name ‘Durlabh Darshan’ at Vaikuntam Complex – 1 to showcase the history of the temple and the grandeur of the deity.
Naidu said Reliance Foundation donated 25 electric buses and a dedicated charging station and another seven came from Bharat Biotech to aid devotees visiting the shrine.
A statement released by the Reliance foundation said the donation was aimed at boosting the temple body’s efforts to provide eco-friendly and sustainable means of transport to pilgrims visiting Tirumala.The release said the contribution fulfills a commitment made by Anant Ambani, executive director, RIL, during his visit to Tirumala in June 2026.
“Millions of devotees visit the sacred hills of Tirumala each year for the darshan of Lord Venkateswara. Supporting their journey is both a privilege and a responsibility,” The executive director said in the release.
The chief minister said the government plans to construct temples through the Srivani Trust and highlighted that 65 temples in Andhra Pradesh were affiliated to TTD.
“We are thinking of setting up Srivari (deity) temples across the world where cities host high numbers of Hindus. Likewise, we will also set up Srivari temples across the state,” Naidu said.
The CM also said requests have been made to construct Srivari temples in Mauritius and New Zealand and also other places in India.
According to Naidu, Tirumala, with a history of 2,300 years, should emerge as the preeminent temple in the world.
The CM said the Annadanam Trust, which offered free food to devotees, held Rs 3,165 crore. He promised to improve the Anna Prasadam (free food) provided to devotees.
Naidu announced plans to integrate hospitals linked to the temple body and also in Tirupati, while offering doctors an opportunity to serve as ‘Srivari Sevakulu’ (deity’s volunteers) alongside other initiatives.
The chief minister further said there is a proposal to construct a skywalk from Tirupati Railway Station to bus station, which would be taken up with the Centre’s cooperation
According to him, the government has planned to build a multi-storied parking facility on 50 acres of land it recently acquired.
Naidu further announced the provision of housing plots to 3,200 employees at a cost of Rs 230 crore.
The CM also said measures will be initiated to connect all the highways in Tirupati.
He encouraged economic activities to take place with Tirupati as the hub, with the temple town turning into a services hub for devotees.
The chief minister also underscored the need for Tirupati to emerge as a wedding destination whose operations would adhere to Net Zero concept, utilising solar, wind and battery storage as sources of power.
Naidu directed authorities to install solar panels on all TTD buildings, highlighting that the temple body is consuming 10 crore units of power.
