Bengaluru: A truck carrying sand and hollow bricks overturned at Madanahalli near Yelahanka early Monday and crashed into a house, leaving the driver trapped underneath and five people inside the house injured.A senior citizen identified as Muniyappa suffered head injuries and is undergoing treatment at a nearby hospital. Police said he is out of danger. His family members, including two women and a child, escaped with minor injuries.The incident occurred around 3.30am when the truck, driven by Naveen, lost control and rammed the house before overturning. The impact damaged a portion of the house walls and several household belongings.Naveeen, trapped underneath the truck, was rescued after almost four hours. Police said he was carrying the materials to a nearby under-construction building. He was subjected to an alcometer test, and the result was negative for drunk driving.
