Gurgaon: Two men lost their lives in separate road accidents over the weekend. While a labourer was crushed between two trucks in Palam Vihar, a 23-year-old biker died after his motorcycle skidded in Sector 37C.On Sunday, Arjun, 60, from Bihar’s Samastipur, was standing behind a stationary truck when its driver began reversing, while another truck approached from behind, leaving the labourer sandwiched between the two heavy vehicles, police said. Arjun suffered fatal injuries and died at the spot. A police officer said, “The container truck was tilted and another truck was reversing. He thought that he would move, but could not.” No formal complaint has been received from the family so far. Police said after the autopsy, the body was handed over to the family.In another accident on Sunday night, the motorcycle-borne youth died near a school. Rahul, from Uttar Pradesh’s Kasganj, who lived in Gadoli Kalan village in Gurgaon, worked with his father, who operates a loading auto in the area.Police said Rahul was riding the bike with his friend, Tushar, 24, a resident of Indira Awas Colony in Gadoli Kalan, after attending the birthday celebration of the latter’s daughter. Their motorcycle suddenly lost balance and skidded. Neither of them was wearing a helmet. Rahul suffered severe head injuries and died during treatment. Tushar sustained injuries and is undergoing treatment at a govt hospital. Police said no FIR was registered. After the autopsy, Rahul’s body was handed over to his family.
