Bengaluru: Six men died in three separate road accidents reported on the outskirts of the city since late Saturday night.In the first accident, reported at 1.15am, three youths from the city died after the sedan they were travelling in rammed into the rear of a 22-wheeler cement bulk truck near Agara Cross in Kaggalipura on Kanakapura Main Road. The trio had been driving towards Harohalli to visit a tomb. The deceased are Saif Pasha, 22, and Yunif B, 24, both self-employed and residents of Tilaknagar, and their friend Azar Pasha, 22, from Siddapura. According to police, Saif Pasha was driving the car at over 120 kmph when the crash occurred.“Saif Pasha died on the spot, while Yunif and Azar succumbed to their injuries at hospital,” a police officer said. The truck driver, Rafiq, fled the spot immediately after the accident but was traced and arrested by Sunday evening. The sedan belonged to a relative of Saif Pasha.In another incident reported late Saturday night, a 35-year-old farmer died after a speeding car collided with his motorbike near Madgugiri in Tumakuru district. Narayana, a resident of Mallekavu village, died on the spot. Police have launched a search for the car driver, who fled after the collision.On Sunday morning, a truck driver and his assistant died after their cement-laden vehicle lost control and rammed a roadside tree at Sopanahalli Gate near Kunigal. The deceased are Rashid Ali, 25, and his assistant Ameen Ahmed, 23, both natives of Kerala.
