Hyderabad: Telangana Rakshana Sena (TRS) chief Kalvakuntla Kavitha alleged the previous BRS govt had resorted to large scale corruption and looted the public money during its rule in the name of Bangaru Telangana and vowed to continue fight against the ruling Congress party. She said the BRS failed as principal opposition party and colluded with the ruling Congress party and asked why the BRS leaders were not questioning corruption in the ruling Congress govt.Addressing at Panchajanya Sankalpa Sabha public meeting at Nizamabad on Monday, Kavitha said people need a ‘Bahujana Telangana’, not Bangaru Telangana. She also asserted that she launched a political party not for power, but to bring qualitative change in the lives of the people. She declared the TRS would contest MPTC and ZPTC elections from all the seats in the state.The TRS chief said she was jailed in the liquor case without doing anything wrong due people at the Centre bore grudge against the BRS and the party did not wholeheartedly support me, she said. “I worked for the BRS for 20 years, but I was ruthlessly expelled from the party,” she said. Kavitha criticised former minister Vemula Prashant Reddy and said she never forgive him for diving her from her father (K Chandrasekhar Rao). “I may forgive Harish Rao or Joginapally Santosh Rao, but not Prashant Reddy,” she said.Kavitha said her party was moving forward with five key priorities aimed at bringing qualitative change to the lives of Telangana’s people. She said these five priorities were being taken up under the name Panchajanya.She promised free education and healthcare for every family. Responding to questions about where the money would come from, she said Telangana’s annual revenue was around ₹2 lakh crore and that allocating ₹1 lakh crore for free education and healthcare would make it possible.Kavitha criticized the Congress, saying that although its government would complete 1,000 days in office the following day, it had still failed to implement the promises made to the people.Ends/
