Hyderabad: Six two-wheelers were damaged after a fire broke out in the cellar of an apartment complex at Hydershakote early on Monday. However, officials said there were no injuries or casualties in the incident. The fire department received a call at 4.28 am. One fire engine from the Langer Houz fire station was rushed to the spot, and firefighters brought the blaze under control by 5.40 am. A video circulated on social media showed three two-wheelers engulfed in flames.Langer Houz station fire officer M Mahesh said two vehicles were completely gutted, while the remaining four suffered partial damage. The cause of the fire had not yet been established. “Some residents said the fire could have been caused by a short circuit, but this is being investigated. We are also examining the possibility that someone may have deliberately started the fire,” the SFO added. “A case has been registered at Narsingi police station, and further investigation is underway,” he added.Fire personnel also checked the cellar and surrounding areas to ensure that the flames had been fully extinguished and that there was no further risk to residents or vehicles.
