Agartala: Tripura chief minister Manik Saha has said the gap in the quality of education between urban and rural areas had been considerably diminished due to corrective measures, technological advancements and improvements in school infrastructure, reports Biswendu Bhattacharjee.
Saha said the state govt had allocated Rs 1,178 crore to improve the infrastructure of 213 schools. “The govt is implementing a strategy to extend educational opportunities to underprivileged regions through the application of modern technology,” he said.
Addressing teachers and students on the birth anniversary of educationist and social reformer Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar, the CM said his govt was committed to providing value-based education to all.
