Agartala: Tripura CM Manik Saha on Friday flagged off 10 vehicles equipped with state-of-the-art facilities for the newly announced CM’s Rapid Response Team in Agartala.As part of this initiative, a WhatsApp-based system for reporting complaints and making calls has been introduced, allowing residents to easily engage with the service delivery platform. The state govt has invested Rs 2.78 crore in these Rapid Response Team vehicles and truck-mounted water tankers. This fleet will empower the team to more effectively tackle civic challenges throughout the Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) area.Govt is integrating these on-ground resources with advanced technology to speed up civic service responses.Saha said the introduction of a calling feature and an AI-driven response mechanism is aimed at transforming the municipal corporation into a ‘zero complaint’ zone. He added that this is the first time such cutting-edge services have been rolled out in Tripura, providing residents with an additional means to raise civic issues.“The initiative aims to bolster citizen-centric service delivery throughout all AMC zones,” Saha said, adding that the ‘Amar Sarkar’ portal has been beneficial for Tripura residents.In addition to the vehicle launch, Saha also laid the foundation of two significant water projects. He said access to safe drinking water is essential for fostering a citizen-friendly environment, and govt is committed to ensuring safe drinking water availability in every AMC ward.“The government is leveraging advanced technology for infrastructure development and renovation. We are serious about addressing the concerns of the people and are actively working to enhance civic facilities,” Saha said.
