Agartala: CM Manik Saha urged for a quicker pace of industrial development in the state by utilising bamboo, rubber, and other domestic resources while speaking at the governing body meeting of the Investment Promotion Agency of Tripura.Emphasising the govt’s commitment to creating an industry-friendly environment, the CM highlighted the importance of production-based industries for enhancing investment and creating jobs in the region, secretary industries and commerce Kiren Gitte said.Saha reiterated the importance of growing the industrial sector, asserting that manufacturing and production-oriented industries are crucial for fast-tracking the state’s economic growth. The discussion during the meeting was primarily centred on promoting industrialisation, drawing in investors, and creating employment opportunities for the youths of Tripura.The CM said areas and countries that have seen rapid economic development rely on robust manufacturing industries. He argued that Tripura should follow this model while tapping into its locally available and natural resources. He underscored the substantial industrial potential within Tripura’s bamboo and rubber industries. He said the state is rich in raw materials that can foster sustainable industrial growth.
