EMRS Lahunipara in Sundargarh district recorded the highest number of five students who qualified.

Bhubaneswar: Eleven students of govt-run Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) in the state have qualified in phase I of Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2026.

A day scholar of EMRS Karanjia in Mayurbhanj district, Avish Alam, topped the list by securing 97.5 percentile, the school and mass education department said in a release on Monday. Samu Paleya also qualified from the Karanjia school.

EMRS Lahunipara in Sundargarh district recorded the highest number of five students who qualified, followed by EMRS Ranki in Keonjhar with three, EMRS Karanjia with two and a single student of EMRS Bangriposi, both in Mayurbhanj.
