Coimbatore: A 68-year-old tribal man was found dead inside a reserve forest in the Coimbatore forest range on Friday. The deceased has been identified as S Palanisamy, 68, from Kondanur Pudur settlement at 24 Veerapandi village. Palanisamy went to a forest fringe near Kondanur Pudur to graze his goats on Thursday morning and did not return home in the evening. His family and others launched a search and also informed the forest department.
Forest department staff found the body of Palanisamy with abrasion injuries inside a reserve forest area in the Thadagam central beat of the Coimbatore forest range on Friday morning. The body was sent to Coimbatore Government Medical College Hospital for a postmortem.
