Ranchi: The body of a 50-year-old man, identified as Chandra Mohan, was found inside a vehicle parked at Morabadi Ground on Sunday. Around 500 vehicles had been stationed at the ground since Friday for use in civic polls.Mohan, a resident of Khunti district, was not associated with the polling process. Police said he was a relative of the driver of the vehicle in which his body was found. The vehicle had been requisitioned for election duty and was parked along with others allotted for polling arrangements.
Lalpur police station officer-in-charge Rupesh Kumar said eyewitnesses reported that Mohan slept inside the vehicle overnight. He stepped out for a morning walk and later returned to rest. When he did not emerge for a long time, drivers grew suspicious, attempted to wake him, and found him unresponsive. The body has been sent for post-mortem examination. Police said the exact cause of death will be determined after the autopsy report.
