Kanpur: The district administration and the traffic department have imposed curbs on the movement of traffic on the occasion of Ganga Mela to be held at Sarsaiya Ghat on Tuesday.The traffic diversion will be effective from 8 am to the culmination of the Mela . The administration also made parking arrangements for visitors.Vehicles will not be allowed to move from Meghdoot trisection towards Sarsaiya Ghat and instead will be diverted to Bada Chauraha Kotwali crossing.No vehicles will be allowed to move from Green Park to Sarsaiya Ghat. They will be diverted from MG College crossing to Muir Mill trisection, Bada Chauraha, and Chetna crossing, and pass through Vyayamshala to reach Meghdoot trisection. Similarly, vehicular movement between Chetna crossing and Sarsaiya Ghat will remain curbed.The traffic will be diverted to the right side, from where it can move from Bhagwat Das Ghat to Sarsaiya Ghat. Vehicles will be diverted towards Meghdoot trisection from Bhagwat Das Ghat, and from there they will move towards Bada Chauraha crossing.Vehicles coming from Meghdoot trisection and heading towards the mela site can be parked at the Phoolbagh underground parking. People coming from Chetna crossing to Sarsaiya Ghat can park their vehicles at GNK College ground. Vehicles coming from Green Park crossing can be parked inside Green Park or at the footpath of VIP Road. Media persons can park their vehicles in front of the office of the executive engineer, PWD. The VVIP parking has been made from the women police station to the district jail.
