— Attachment Content: MADHEPURA—College_Chowk.docx —MADHEPURA : Motorcycle borne masked armed criminal shot at a grocery shop owner injuring him seriously allegedly on denial to offer cigarettes to the assailants near busy college cowk west of a fuel pump in Madhepura town under the same police station and district on Tuesday late evening. The victim trader was identified as Pinku Kesri 35 a resident of the local town.The victim trader had shut down shutter of his shop located at college chowk and to set out for his respective house when two masked youths reached nearer to him and asked for cigarettes. The youths grew angry when the victim pleaded shutter was kept down and shot at his mouth from point blank range. When the other people could learn the incident, assailants fled the spot on their motorcycle.The local people rescued the victim and rushed him to JNKT medical college and hospital from where doctor referred him to higher center. The victim is under treatment a private hospital in Saharsa . His condition was said to be serious.On information , local police rushed to the spot to take stock of the incident . Police are investigating in to the matter to identify the assailant involved in the incident, said Madhepura SDPO Pravendra Bharti.Deo Narayan Saha
