Jaipur: Three members of a family were killed and a fourth relative was critically injured after a speeding tractor-trolley hit their motorcycle in Hindaun City late Sunday evening. Police seized the tractor-trolley, but the driver fled.The crash occurred in the Sadar police station area when four people were riding on a single motorcycle.“The deceased were identified as Yashvendra Jatav (50), his son Gaurav Jatav (13), and his son-in-law Dharmendra Jatav (25). All were residents of Alipura and nearby areas. Yashvendra’s nephew, Munim Jatav of Panbheda village, was also on the bike and suffered critical injuries,” said a senior police officer of Sadar Hindaun City police station on Monday.Police said the family was returning to Alipura after dinner at a roadside dhaba in Panbheda village when the tractor-trolley struck the motorcycle, leaving all four seriously injured.They were taken to the district hospital in Hindaun, where doctors declared Yashvendra, Gaurav and Dharmendra dead. “Munim is undergoing treatment at the same hospital. The tractor driver fled the scene. We launched a search operation to trace and arrest the absconding driver,” an officer said.DSP Munesh Kumar Meena and SHO Chaudhary reached the spot. The bodies were handed over to the family after post-mortem on Monday.Police said Yashvendra and Dharmendra worked as labourers. Dharmendra married Yashvendra’s daughter, Rachna, on April 29, 2025. A case has been registered against the driver for causing death due to negligence, and the investigation is ongoing.
