CCTV captures brutal chase before rowdy-sheeter is hacked to death in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: A 33-year-old rowdy-sheeter from Khammam district was allegedly hacked to death at a permit room in a wine shop in Bandlaguda in Nagole. Previous enmity with his childhood friend led to the murder.The victim Mohammed Nayeem, a resident of Bandalguda, was at a local wine shop on Monday night when prime accused Mahesh, along with five others, came to the wine shop and attacked him.The victim Nayeem attempted to escape, but the accused chased him and then killed him by repeatedly hacking him using sickles and knives.The accused who kept track of the movements of the victim traced him to the permit room in the wine shop. They threw chilli powder and then killed him.The incident was captured on CCTV footage, in which the accused were found chasing Nayeem. The incident created panic, and the other customers at the permit area escaped from the spot.After completion of the murder, the accused fled from the spot using a car.After police started the probe, they identified the victim as Nayeem from Yellandu in Khammam district. Both the victim and accused are childhood friends and are rowdy-sheeters from Yellandu.They both used to get involved in settling land disputes and other anti-social activities. It was few years ago, Nayeem moved to Bandlaguda and started making a livelihood as an auto rickshaw driver,’’ Nagole police said.Meanwhile, Mahesh got upset that though Nayeem moved to Hyderabad, his friend Nayeem was involved in disputes in those areas where Mahesh wanted to dominate.On this issue, the friendship between the two got strained and they became enemies. Sometime back the victim allegedly threatened the accused Mahesh to kill him.It looks that to pre-empt the danger, Mahesh with the support of few more criminals conspired and killed Nayeem,’’ investigators said.A case of murder was registered against Mahesh and five others. Police said they are in the process of nabbing the accused.
