Yash’s ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups’ is getting a new theatrical version in India. The English edition of the Geetu Mohandas directorial will release on September 4, 2026. The update comes days after the film began its theatrical run on August 26.The action thriller was originally written and shot in both Kannada and English. The movie was later made available in several other Indian languages through dubbed versions. The upcoming English edition, however, will have a shorter runtime than the original Kannada cut.As reported by India Today, the English version will run for 2 hours and 57 minutes. The Kannada theatrical edition has a runtime of 3 hours, 14 minutes and 12 seconds. The difference between the two versions is around 17 minutes.

English version of ‘Toxic’ releases on September 4

The makers have confirmed the arrival of the English version across Indian cinemas. The new cut will be available to audiences from September 4, 2026. Unlike a conventional dubbed release, the English version was one of the languages used while writing and shooting the movie.The makers shared the update online while explaining the nature of the new theatrical cut.“Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, in English – one of the languages the film was written and shot in. A shorter cut from the Indian language version. In cinemas from September 4, 2026.”

Yash movie gets 17-minute shorter English cut

The runtime has become a notable point ahead of the English release. The Kannada version runs for 3 hours, 14 minutes and 12 seconds. The English edition will instead have a duration of 2 hours and 57 minutes.This puts the English cut approximately 17 minutes below the runtime of the Kannada version. The makers have specifically described it as a shorter cut of the Indian-language edition.

‘Toxic’ earns Rs 4.25 Cr on Day 9

The Yash starrer recorded an India net collection of Rs 4.25 Cr on Day 9, according to Sacnilk. The figure was achieved from 10,863 shows. It represents a 22.0% decline compared with the Rs 5.45 Cr collected on Day 8.The movie has therefore witnessed another drop during its second week. ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups’ is a psychological action thriller directed by Geetu Mohandas. Yash leads the movie as Raya, a ruthless figure whose rise takes place in Goa during Portuguese rule.The story follows Raya as he moves towards greater power. His journey unfolds against a backdrop involving violence, ambition and shifting loyalties.
