LUCKNOW A day after 2022-batch IAS officer Rinku Singh Rahi tendered his resignation, alleging that honest people in the system are punished differently, Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav asked officials not to make any hasty decisions based on impulse. He alleged that competent officers hold no significance within the Bharatiya Janata Party government, saying that he always valued officers who are masters of their craft.
“Competent officers hold no significance within the BJP government. Only those individuals are valued whose stolen wealth is itself stolen, or those who extract a ‘5% entry fee’ – even from investments,” he said in a statement issued on Wednesday.
“We urge every honest officer not to make any decisions based on emotional impulse, and these difficult times will soon pass. A ‘PDA’ government will come to power and accord everyone their rightful dignity, respect and position. It will be a government of the people – one that will genuinely undertake developmental work to resolve problems and eliminate inequalities,” stated Yadav.
The SP chief stated that excellent officers are always indispensable for ensuring quality work and completing projects within stipulated deadlines.
He asserted that all who have suffered, whether officers or employees, are standing with the PDA to oust the BJP. “The ‘suffering’ (peeda) is mounting, which is precisely why the PDA is gaining momentum – because whoever is suffering belongs to the PDA,” added Yadav.
