Valpoi: Torrential rain hit Sattari taluka on Friday, rapidly swelling rivers, flooding roads, and disrupting daily life in several areas.At the Keri–Ghoteli bridge, the river rose sharply after incessant rainfall, reaching the level of the bridge.The road linking Guleli with Paikul, Murmune, Shel, Dhada, and Melauli was shut after the Ragada river overflowed onto the roadway, making travel unsafe. Transport to interior villages was disrupted before traffic resumed later as water levels receded.The Velus river also surged, with low-lying areas kept under watch.Heavy waterlogging was reported near the Datta Temple at Pali, where overflowing drains and inflows inundated the area, inconveniencing pedestrians and motorists.
