Jaipur: Jai Club witnessed one of a kind tournament over the weekend. Hundreds of doctors, from across all disciplines of medicine and dentistry got together to compete hard in the game of pickleball.Over the last year or so the game of pickleball has picked up fast in the city, some suggesting it to be second only to Mumbai, in the number of pickleball courts opening up.The doctors from all across Rajasthan congregated at the Jai Club on the call of The Medicos Social and Welfare Society.The first season of Doctors Premier Pickleball League was played out on the courts of Jai Club from April 1 to 5.Dr Sandeep Nijhawan, patron in chief, informed about the league and its format. Dr Anil Yadav was instrumental in the organising of the tournament as chef-de-mission.The five-day tournament witnessed tremendous enthusiasm and excitement from the medical fraternity. The team title was won by Tooth Saviours and Rao Hospital ended up as runners-up.Individual winners included Dr Utkarsh Bhat, Dr Sudhanshu, Dr Purvi, Dr Pramila and Dr Vidisha as winners and runners up.
