Bhilwara: Tonk police seized 150 Tramadol injections, 144 Tramadol tablets, 2,040 Alprazolam tablets, 22 Avil injections, 800 syringes and around 10.50 grams of smack during raids at five places in Tonk city Tuesday.Seven people, including a woman, were arrested and four cases were registered under the NDPS Act.Police said the seized smack had an estimated market value of around Rs 2 lakh. The arrested accused were identified as Mausam Devi Sansi, 35, Adeeb, 41, Akhtar, 30, Kaleem Ahmad, 32, Kishan Lal Kumhar, 25, Puneet Badlani, 23, and Naresh Kumar Verma, 27.

Tonk SP Roshan Meena said the district police had been directed to curb illegal drug activities. The raids were conducted jointly by the district special team (DST), Kotwali, Purani Tonk and Tonk Sadar police, along with the Mahila Shakti Team.Police said the medicines were being sold without a doctor’s prescription.
