BAHADURGARH: A toll contractor was shot dead in Chhara village of Bahadurgarh in Haryana‘s Jhajjar district on Sunday, with police suspecting the murder was linked to an old personal rivalry.Bahadurgarh DCP Mayank Mishra said five empty bullet shells were recovered from the crime scene. Preliminary investigation suggests the killing was the result of a long-standing personal feud.He said police have identified four to five suspects, all residents of Chhara village, and multiple teams have been deployed to trace and arrest them.Investigators are examining CCTV footage, collecting forensic evidence and recording statements of witnesses to reconstruct the sequence of events.The victim’s body has been sent for a post-mortem examination.Police have registered a murder case and said the investigation is progressing on multiple fronts. Officials said all angles are being examined and expressed confidence that the accused would be arrested soon as raids continue at multiple locations.
