Rajkot: Two fatal road accidents were reported in Rajkot district on Saturday, leaving a 50-year-old motorcyclist dead near Jetpur and a two-and-a-half-year-old boy killed in Virpur.The first accident occurred around 10.30am near Thanagalol village in Jetpur taluka. Chetan Gohel, 50, was riding his motorcycle towards Jetpur for work when he collided with an oncoming state transport bus. The impact threw Gohel onto the road, causing a severe forehead injury and a fracture below his right knee. He died on the spot.Based on a complaint filed by Gohel’s son, Mehul Gohel, Jetpur taluka police registered a case against the bus driver.Later that evening, tragedy struck at Minalvav Chowk in Virpur. Mehul Rathwa was sitting outside a guesthouse with his family while his three children played nearby with their mother, Pushpa. A car suddenly hit their two-and-a-half-year-old son, Mihit, from the front. The boy was critically injured and died. Police have registered a case against the car driver.
