Shivamogga: A 17-year-old zoo-born tigress named Dashami passed away on Sunday due to geriatric health issues. According to an official statement by VM Amarakshar, executive director of Shivamogga zoo, the tigress had been under intensive veterinary care and treatment for the past 10 days after her condition deteriorated. Despite medical efforts, she succumbed to her age-related ailments, he said.A comprehensive postmortem examination is scheduled for Monday to determine the exact cause of death.
