Kanpur: Three thieves allegedly stole cash, jewellery, copper and a laptop worth about Rs 12 lakh from a scrap warehouse in Bhawani Nagar, Koyla Nagar, Chakeri, early on Monday. The incident was captured on CCTV, and police have launched a search.Vipin Dixit, a Kachhiyana Bartan bazaar resident, runs Aradhya Enterprises in Bhawani Nagar. He closed the warehouse on Sunday evening and returned home.Around 3 am on Monday, three men arrived in an auto. One waited outside while two broke the main gate and channel lock with a crowbar and entered the warehouse. They allegedly stole Rs 7.61 lakh from a cash box, jewellery, a laptop and a large quantity of copper.Dixit discovered the theft when he reached the warehouse on Monday morning and estimated the total loss at about Rs 12 lakh.Station in-charge Ajay Prakash Mishra said suspects had been seen in the CCTV footage and the case would be solved soon.
