Prayagraj: Three members of a family were arrested by Industrial Area police on Tuesday on charges of killing a minor girl and hiding her body beneath a haystack, on Monday evening.The three accused, Manni Lal (60) , his wife Geeta (50) and son Karan (20), residents of Vyohara village were close relatives of the eight year-old girl who was stabbed to death over an old enmity. Police said prime accused Manni Lal was grandfather of the girl and paternal uncle of her father.DCP (Yamuna Nagar) Vivek Chandra Yadav said, “Police swung into action on Monday evening when Sushil Kumar, father of the girl child, lodged a missing complaint. When police and with family members searched, they found her body lying beneath a haystack at the houses of the accused on Monday night.”The girl was a student of class II at primary school Vyohara. Initial police investigations revealed old enmity led to the murder. Further investigations are on.Meanwhile, body of a minor boy was also recovered in shrubs near Mejaroad railway station under limits of Meja police station on Tuesday morning. The boy went missing on Monday afternoon and his body was recovered on Tuesday. The case came to fore when shepherds noticed the body and informed police. On being alerted, senior cops rushed to the spot and sent the body for postmortem. The cause of death was yet to be ascertained.
