India’s recurve and compound archery squads for the 2026 Asian Games, across both men’s and women’s categories, have been finalised following the selection trials held at the SAI’s National Centre of Excellence in Sonipat.
In the men’s compound event, Sahil Rajesh Jadhav topped the standings, with Kushal Dalal and Ganesh Thiru Muru securing the remaining spots. The top three in each category qualified for the quadrennial event.
Rishabh Yadav, Ojas Pravin Deotale and Abhishek Verma are among the prominent names who failed to make the cut.
While the men’s compound squad features significant changes, the women’s category continues to be led by V. Jyothi Surekha. She once again topped the qualification standings and will be joined by Taniparthi Chikitha and Prithika Pradeep.
In recurve, B. Dhiraj and Kirti Sharma emerged as the standout performers in the men’s and women’s categories, respectively. Deepika Kumari and Atanu Das narrowly missed out after finishing just outside the top three.
