Mangaluru: A high school student belonging to a Scheduled Tribe community and two of his classmates were allegedly abused, assaulted and threatened by a group of adults at Kundadka Falls, according to a complaint filed with Kadaba police.The boy and four classmates, including a girl, all aged around 14, had gone to the waterfalls on Aug 3 morning. While they were playing there, the accused, identified as Rohith, Deviprasad, Chandan and Umesh, along with the girl’s father, allegedly arrived at the spot.According to the complaint, they abused the ST student, assaulted him and two of his male classmates, and threatened them with dire consequences.Based on the complaint, Kadaba police registered a case under Sections 189(2), 190, 351(3), 352 and 115(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Sections 3(1)(r), 3(1)(s) and 3(2)(va) of the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Amendment Act, 2015. Investigation is under way.
