New Delhi: Three members of a family were injured in a blast caused by a cylinder leakage in a residential building in southeast Delhi’s Madanpur Khadar.A PCR call was received on Friday night regarding the fire. Police found that a sudden explosion had occurred inside the premises while the residents were asleep.

“Initial reports suggest an LPG cylinder leakage, but the actual cause will be determined by technical experts after inspection,” said deputy commissioner of police Hemant Tiwari.The injured are identified as Jagdish (52), a daily-wage mason, his wife Laxmi (48) and their son Jotish (26).Medical response teams initially took Jagdish and Jotish to LBS Hospital, and Laxmi to AIIMS Trauma Centre. Later, all of them were moved to the burns ward at Safdarjung Hospital. While Jagdish and Jotish were reported to be stable, Laxmi was critical.An FIR has been registered. Further investigation is underway. In another incident, an elderly woman and a dog were rescued after a fire broke out in northwest Delhi’s Gujrawala Town on Saturday.Police said the fire had erupted on the second and third floors of a house in Derawal Nagar. During the rescue operation, both the woman and the dog were evacuated from the premises.
