Gurgaon: A day after the body of a 39-year-old man was found with his face smashed in a forested patch 2 km from DLF Camellias, police have arrested a taxi driver and two auto drivers for murdering him.The deceased, Bandi Oraon, a native of Gumla district in Jharkhand, had come to the city last month in search of a job and had recently started working as a cook in a residential society. The accused, Ram (30), a taxi driver; Vinay (35), and Prakash (26), both auto drivers, were also from Jharkhand and lived in Wazirabad on rent, similar to Oraon. Police said all four knew each other.According to their investigation, a dispute during a late-night drinking session with the three accused led to the killing.ACP Naveen Sharma said on Monday night, Oraon and Ram had exchanged heated words while drinking. But the issue appeared to have been resolved. After the celebration, the three told Oraon they were going for a leisurely drive in Ram’s car and invited him to join them, to which he agreed.Police said another argument appeared to have broken out among the group while they were in the car in Dhani Chowk in Wazirabad. Following this, they lured Oraon to the Aravali forest and brutally assaulted him.The group then dragged his body deeper into the forest, attacked him with stones and killed him. They dumped his body near behind some bushes and fled.When Oraon’s body was discovered on Tuesday, two blood-stained stones, including one that weighed more than 10kg, were recovered from the spot. There were drag marks on the ground that showed his body was pulled deeper into the woods. His identity was established after police recovered his Aadhaar card from his wallet.Oraon, a divorcee, is survived by two children who live with their mother in Jharkhand.An FIR was registered at the Sector 53 police station against the three accused and they have been charged with murder.
