Varanasi: Sonbhadra police on Tuesday claimed to have solved a case of murder with the arrest of three persons. A body was found under the Kasarhiya river bridge in the Rampur Barkonia police station area of the district on Sunday morning.According to reports, Bharatdeep Dulare, resident of Siltham, was found dead and on noticing an injury mark on the head, his family suspected murder. The post mortem report indicated homicide, after which FIR was registered on Monday.Police arrested Shubham Kumar Paswan, resident of Patna village under Rampur Barkonia police station, along with his friends Sandeep Kumar alias Chhotu and Atmanand alias Lappu Gautam. The motorcycle and mobile phone used in the crime were also seized by police.According to station in charge Ramsinghasan Sharma, the accused told police during questioning that Dulare was in a relationship with a young woman, who later befriended Shubham. This led to tension between the two men, and Shubham allegedly threatened Dulare.Police said on the night of Independence Day, Dulare went to meet his girlfriend. She informed Shubham, who arrived on a motorcycle with two friends. The accused allegedly assaulted Dulare, strangled him and caused his death by drowning him in water.After the incident, the three accused were planning to flee. Police arrested them near the Hasua river bridge in Karwaniya village. The accused were produced before the court after interrogation.
