BHOPAL:A viral video from a govt middle school in Rewa district has ignited widespread fury, exposing alleged misconduct by a headmistress and casting a harsh spotlight on the state’s public education system.The footage, circulating rapidly on social media, shows Varsha Manjhi, headmistress of govt Middle School in Panasi village under the Teonthar Assembly constituency, lounging in a chair with earphones plugged in.Shockingly, a student stands beside her, manually fanning her with a hand fan amid the summer heat.Local residents expressed dismay, with many decrying the incident as a blatant misuse of authority. “This isn’t education; it’s exploitation,” said one villager. “We are investigating the matter thoroughly. Strict action will follow based on the probe’s findings,” District Education Officer Rewa Ramraj Mishra said.
