At this point, the U.S. government should officially rename “summer” as “Megan Thee Stallion’s season.” After all, by a show of hands, how many of us now casually refer to the months from June through August as “hot girl summer,” courtesy of the award-winning rapper?

Megan Thee Stallion certainly hasn’t been shy about capitalizing on the snappy catchphrase, having first released a self-designed swimwear line in 2025. Now, she’s bringing the heat to the fragrance world with the launch of her  Hot Girl Summer Eau de Parfum.

“It’s fun, sexy and Megan Thee Stallion in a bottle,” she says of the scent. Its concept is summertime in a bottle, defined by notes of creamy coconut milk, orchid blooms and warm vetiver oil.

Ahead, the artist dishes more about her first-ever fragrance, as well as shares her most romantic scent, favorite non-perfume smells and more.

What type of scents are you typically drawn to?

I’m usually drawn to scents that feel soft, really sexy, really warm and that last for a long time.

What do you love most about your Hot Girl Summer perfume?

What I like most about my Hot Girl Summer perfume is that it’s very memorable. Every time I pass by somebody while I have it on, they are like, ‘Oh my god, what are you wearing?’ Even before it came out, I was wearing it on Broadway and all the hotties were like, ‘What is that? Why do you smell so good?’ I was like, ‘It’s a secret, but I got a perfume coming out.’ And now it’s here.

Where do you see the hotties wearing the Hot Girl Summer perfume?

The hotties are wearing the Hot Girl Summer perfume to school, to work, to the club, to the pool, anywhere they want to be seen and have the people remember they were there. Wear it anywhere — wear it on the couch, in the house; you can wear it anywhere.

What’s the most romantic scent you can smell on another person?

When you really like somebody, just their natural body smell is romantic to you. Just, ‘Come here and let me smell you.’

What are your favorite non-perfume smells?

Non-perfume smells I like would be coconut oil or shea butter. Those are my two favorite [scents].

How would your family and friends describe your signature scent?

I would hope they say I smell rich and luxurious and very sexy.

What’s your go-to way to apply fragrance?

I put on a really good-smelling lotion and then I put on my perfume on top.
