The Tesla Cybertruck has never exactly been known for blending in.With its sharp angles, steel-grey body and unusual shape, the electric pickup already stands out wherever it goes. But one Cybertruck in the US has taken things several steps further by getting a colourful makeover inspired by India’s famous decorated trucks. The transformation was done by US-based vinyl wrapping company Original Global Graphics, which shared a video of the finished vehicle on Instagram. And it’s safe to say this isn’t the Cybertruck most people are used to seeing. The plain silver exterior has been covered with bright colours, traditional Indian-style patterns and decorative artwork. The result is a truck that looks less like a futuristic electric vehicle and more like something that could roll straight into an Indian celebration. One of the details that immediately catches attention is the phrase “Dekho, magar pyaar se” written across the front. Roughly translated, it means, “Look at it, but with love.”The artwork continues along the sides, with colourful designs replacing much of the Cybertruck’s original minimalist look.In the video, the owner is seen walking around the finished vehicle and taking a closer look at the wrap. The reaction is pretty easy to understand. After all, going from a bare metal Cybertruck to something this colourful is quite a change.Original Global Graphics summed up the project with a simple caption: “Made his dream come true.”

Social media users are loving it

The makeover quickly attracted attention online, and some of the funniest reactions came from people who normally aren’t fans of the Cybertruck. One commenter admitted, “I don’t like Cybertrucks, but I love this right here.”Another person immediately imagined it in an Indian wedding procession, writing that they could already see it joining the baraat at the next wedding. And then there were the people looking for one very specific detail.“Missed out on the iconic ‘Horn OK Please,’” one user pointed out, referring to the familiar phrase traditionally painted on the backs of Indian trucks.Others joked that the colourful vehicle belonged at a festival, while some simply said the wrap had managed to make the Cybertruck look far better than its original design. One comment summed up the unusual reaction perfectly: “I’m conflicted. I love the truck art, but I can’t stand the Cybertruck.”Another user joked that the owner should be playing a Bollywood playlist while driving it.Then came perhaps the bluntest compliment of all: “The only aesthetically pleasing Cybertruck.”

A Cybertruck that finally stands out for the right reasons?

The Tesla Cybertruck has attracted plenty of strong opinions since its launch. Its unusual design has been praised by some and heavily criticised by others. This version, though, seems to have found a slightly different audience. The Indian truck-art theme gives the vehicle something its standard silver finish doesn’t have: colour, personality and a bit of humour. And that may be why even some Cybertruck critics seem to be warming to it.Of course, a vinyl wrap doesn’t change the vehicle itself. It’s still the same angular Cybertruck underneath. But it completely changes how the vehicle feels when you look at it.Instead of the usual futuristic, industrial appearance, this one feels playful and unmistakably desi.Whether you love the Cybertruck or can’t understand why anyone would want one, there’s one thing this makeover has achieved: it’s made people stop and look. And judging by the comments, quite a few of them actually like what they’re seeing.
