Chennai: Outgoing governor R N Ravi described his tenure in the state as the “golden period” of his life. The warmth and affection of the people of Tamil Nadu has left a lasting imprint on him, Ravi said in his farewell message to the people. Ravi who addressed the people as his “dear Tamil brothers and sisters”, said he spent the past 54 months immersed in the state’s language, culture and rich heritage. Though circumstances now required him to move on, the bond he formed with the people remained unchanged, Ravi said. He described the affection he received from the people as “immeasurable”. Recalling his travels across the state, the Governor said he encountered warmth and positivity everywhere. Regardless of differences in landscape or dialect, he noted that the people’s hard work, intellectual depth and joy in labour remained constant.TNN
