Times News NetworkKanpur: A ten-year-old boy died in a road accident in Prempur village of Chhibramau Kotwali in Kannauj. The boy was walking on the service road when an unidentified car hit him.According to information, deceased Sonu Rajput (10), son of Hansram, a resident of Prempur, had gone out for a walk on the service road located at Dalupur turn. A speeding unidentified car coming from the Weber side hit him hard, due to which Sonu was seriously injured and fell on the road.After the accident, local people present at the spot immediately took Sonu to a private hospital for treatment where, after a thorough examination, the doctors declared the boy dead.As soon as the information about the incident was received, the police team reached the spot, filed the punchnama of the body and sent it for post-mortem. The police are currently searching for the unidentified car and its driver so that further legal action can be taken.The deceased Sonu’s father Hansram works in a private job in Gurgaon. Apart from Sonu, the family includes his siblings Deepak, Jyoti and Soni.
