Ramgarh: To facilitate pilgrims visiting Gaya during the Pitri Paksha, Dhanbad Railway Division has announced temporary two-minute halts for eight trains at Punpun Ghat Halt and Anugraha Narayan Snan Ghat stations from Sept 25 to Oct 10.According to Manish Saurabh, Sr DCM and CPRO, trains stopping at Punpun Ghat Halt will include Patna-Barkakana Palamu Express, Singrauli-Patna Express, Islampur-Hatia Express, Purnia Court-Hatia Express and Charlapalli-Patna Special services.At Anugraha Narayan Snan Ghat, Dhanbad-Sasaram Intercity Express and Asansol-Varanasi MEMU Express will be provided with temporary halts.Every year, thousands of devotees travel to Punpun and Sone river ghats for holy baths and Pind Daan rituals during Pitri Paksha. Railway officials said the temporary halts are aimed at easing access to Gaya and nearby pilgrimage centres and appealed to passengers to make use of the facility.
