Hyderabad: Days after the Moinabad police registered a case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and the Arms Act, revenue authorities recently surveyed the farmhouse of former BRS MLA Pilot Rohith Reddy.The move followed a proposal from local police seeking seizure of the property, where Rohith Reddy and five others, including Andhra Pradesh TDP MP Putta Mahesh Kumar, allegedly consumed drugs.Revenue officials are yet to inform the police when the property will be seized. Rohith Reddy, his brother Ritesh Reddy and another accused Namith Sharma are currently lodged in judicial remand at Chanchalguda prison.“The property is yet to be seized,” an official familiar with the case told TOI.Meanwhile, a local court is expected to decide on Monday on a police custody petition filed against the three arrested accused.Moinabad police registered the case on March 14 after the anti-narcotics agency EAGLE conducted searches at Rohith Reddy’s farmhouse.Acting on a tip-off about a party involving drugs, sleuths of EAGLE (Elite Action Group for Drug Law Enforcement), along with the Future City police, raided Rohith Reddy’s farmhouse on the night of March 14 and arrested 11 people. Six of them tested positive for drug abuse — four for cocaine, one for amphetamine and methamphetamine.
