Gurgaon: A 19-year old youth allegedly murdered his stepfather with a hoe after a heated argument at their home in Pataudi late Monday night.According to the police, Shivam and the victim, Manoj (45) frequently quarreled since Manoj married Shivam’s mother 13 years ago. On Monday, during an altercation, Shivam allegedly attacked Manoj several times with a hoe, inflicting fatal injuries. Manoj died at the scene, and the accused escaped immediately after the incident.Receiving a complaint from Prempal, a relative of the deceased, the Pataudi police station registered the case and rushed to the spot with a forensic team to collect evidence. The body was further sent for post-mortem examination.Police told TOI that raids are underway to trace the accused, who remains absconding.In a separate case, Ravi, a 32-year-old marketing executive, died on Tuesday night, nearly a month after he was brutally assaulted during a parking dispute in Sector 7 Extension.On June 6, Ravi went to Sector 7 Extension Road with his friends after celebrating his brother’s birthday when an argument broke out with a group of youth over parking a car outside a shop. Ravi told the group that he would remove the vehicle shortly, but the argument escalated into a physical assault.According to police, as the altercation intensified, Ravi’s three friends managed to flee the scene. The group caught hold of Ravi and repeatedly assaulted him. His condition deteriorated the following day, leading to his hospitalisation. Doctors later found that he sustained a serious head injury.After remaining under treatment for nearly a month, he succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday night. He is survived by his wife, a son and a daughter.Police have now arrested the two suspects, Mukul (26) and Pravesh (26).
