Baramulla, Aug 11 (KNO): A 13-year-old girl was injured after being attacked by a leopard in the Kreeri area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Tuesday evening, officials said.

An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the leopard attacked the girl in the Kokothal area, leaving her injured. She was immediately shifted to a hospital for treatment.

He said the condition of the teenager was not immediately known. The girl was identified as Hadiya Mushtaq (13).

Earlier, an eight-year-old boy, Aahil Fayaz, was injured in a leopard attack in Wagila Wagoora village of Kreeri. The repeated attacks have triggered concern among residents, who have urged the Wildlife Department to intensify search operations and take immediate measures to capture the leopard.—(KNO)
