Kanpur: A 19-year-old girl riding a scooty died in a road accident in Chakeri area on Monday afternoon, after her vehicle collided head-on with a sand-laden tractor-trolley near Sakrapur Bamba.Nanhi (19), a resident of Dehli Sujanpur, was on her way for some work when her scooty collided with a tractor-trolley coming from the opposite direction. The impact was so severe that both the tractor-trolley and the scooty overturned into a roadside drain, trapping the girl beneath the trolley.Police reached the spot and used a JCB to remove the trolley and rescue her. The critically-injured girl was rushed to a hospital, where doctors declared her dead.Inspector Sen Paschim Para Pradeep Kumar Singh said the police retrieved both the tractor-trolley and the scooty from the drain with the help of a crane. The body was sent for post-mortem.
