Poonch, Sep 5: Teachers’ Day was celebrated with enthusiasm at Government Girls Higher Secondary School Mandi, where students and staff gathered to honour the dedication and contribution of teachers.
The programme featured speeches by students highlighting the role of teachers in shaping character, nurturing talent and guiding students towards a bright future. Cultural performances added colour to the celebrations and showcased the creativity and confidence of the students.
A major highlight of the event was the presentation of Certificates of Appreciation to members of the teaching staff in recognition of their dedicated services, sincere efforts and commitment to the institution and its students.
The certificates were presented by Senior Lecturers Syed Nazak Hussain Shah Bukhari and Barket Choudhary, who congratulated the teachers and appreciated their contribution to the academic and personal development of students.
Speaking on the occasion, the lecturers said teaching was not merely a profession but a noble responsibility that plays an important role in nation-building. They emphasised the importance of discipline, compassion, integrity, hard work and social responsibility in the holistic development of students.
