Veteran actor Tanuja recently watched Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar 2 with her daughter Tanishaa Mukerji, and was all praise for the film. She applauded filmmaker Aditya Dhar’s direction, noting that despite its long runtime, the film remains gripping and never drags.
Tanuja praises Dhurandhar 2
On Thursday, Tanishaa took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share a video featuring her mother, veteran actor Tanuja. In the clip, the duo is seen sitting inside a car, and talking about their experience of watching Dhurandhar 2.
She posted the video with the caption that read, “Ok so I did it again! I took mom for Dhurandar the Revenge finally&totally worth it & here is our honest review! #adityadhar @RanveerOfficial #Dhurandhar2TheRevenge This movie is not too long because every minute is engaging as u are immersed into this world! must watch.”
Tanishaa began the video by telling her followers that she had finally managed to take her mother, Tanuja, to watch Dhurandhar The Revenge. Throughout the clip, she is seen repeatedly quizzing her about her impressions of the film.
Tanishaa asked, “Mummy, tell me what your Dhurandhar experience was like?”
To this, Tanuja shared, “Amazing, outstanding movie.” When asked who was the hero of the film, Tanuja was quick to note, “The director, 110%”.
Here, Tanishaa noted, “Ranveer was also fabulous.” And Tanuja agreed saying, “Everyone did well.” Talking about Ranveer, Tanuja mentioned, “He did a good job”.
“The director is fabulous. He is a good director. Excellent. The film is very well put together, considering it’s such a long film. It was very well put together. There was no moment which was boring.”
Tanishaa added that it was a perfect team effort. “The whole cast, the way they were cast. And they are all real-life characters. The way they played. Ranveer was looking the part. He was outstanding.”
In the end, Tanuja was seen asking Tanishaa to stop the recording. “Enough,” she said.

Dhurandhar 2 is a sequel to the spy-action thriller Dhurandhar, which was released in theatres in December 2025 and grossed over ₹1300 crore worldwide. The film franchise follows an undercover Indian intelligence agent, played by Ranveer Singh, who infiltrates Karachi’s criminal syndicates and political power structures in Pakistan in an effort to dismantle a terror network targeting India. The movie also features Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan, Sara Arjun and Rakesh Bedi.
Dhurandhar 2 has collected over ₹900 crore net in India till now. At the moment, Dhurandhar 2 is eyeing to outpace the lifetime collections of Baahubali 2: The Conclusion ( ₹1,030.42 crore) and Allu Arjun-starrer Telugu film Pushpa 2: The Rise ( ₹1,234.10 crore) to become the highest-grossing Indian release of all time. While the film has largely received positive feedback, it has also ignited a debate, with several viewers labelling it a propaganda vehicle. Amid this, several actors, including Anupam Kher and Piyush Mishra came forward to defend the film.
