TRICHY: Chief minister M K Stalin said the BJP was trying to enter the state “wearing AIADMK mask”, but the DMK would tear it open and expose the “saffron brigade”.“The saffron brigade is bent upon swallowing Tamil Nadu. But that will not happen as long as our black and red brigade is there,” Stalin said addressing the gathering at DMK’s 12th state conference at Siruganur near Trichy. Stalin said even the BJP was aware that their designs would be defeated by the DMK. “Hence they are coming to Tamil Nadu wearing the AIADMK mask. But we will expose them,” he said. Stalin said that was the reason he was describing the assembly election as a battle between Tamil Nadu and NDA. “As long as Muthuvel Karunanidhi Stalin and DMK are there, BJP can never rule over Tamil Nadu. No matter whatever mask you (BJP) wear, no matter whom you bring and try to intimidate us with your agencies, Tamil Nadu is always out of control for you. BJP can paint any state in India map with saffron but not Tamil Nadu. It is our soil, only we (DMK) will win,” Stalin said. He said stating that people of Tamil Nadu would say “no entry” to the NDA which keeps saying “no to the demands of the state”. “This state will say “no entry” to you and your dubba engine,” he said. Stalin then sharpened his attack on AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami. He said though AIADMK was the political opponent of DMK, he pitied AIADMK cadres. “BJP has started swallowing AIADMK slowly. EPS has mortgaged AIADMK in Delhi for his personal welfare against wishes of AIADMK cadres. Now BJP is destroying the AIADMK,” he said. Stalin said the country was witnessing the scenes unfolding in Bihar where “they” projected Nithish Kumar and won the election, but were sidelining him to bring a “BJP chief minister”. “They are trying to emulate the same in TN. But BJP cannot rule TN,” he said. Referring to the seat-sharing talks with allies, Stalin urged DMK cadres to work for all the candidates in the DMK alliance as much as they work for the DMK’s ‘rising sun’ symbol in the upcoming election. “Our coalition is also our strength just like our ideology and welfare programmes. We are facing our fourth election with the same alliance. You must work for candidates fielded by our allies too,” Stalin said.Stating that after C N Annadurai, M Karunanidhi, M G Ramachandran, and J Jayalalithaa, he was the only chief minister elected by the people, Stalin said he would achieve in the next tenure more than what he achieved in the last five years. “I am ready, are you ready to work for Dravidian model govt 2.0 to safeguard our soil, language, and people,” Stalin asked concluding his speech.
