CHENNAI: PMK president Anbumani Ramadoss has accused the DMK govt of providing a safe haven for individuals who insult women. In a strongly worded statement, Anbumani questioned why the Tamil Nadu police have failed to arrest political analyst V Ponraj, who recently made remarks against women cadres of Vijay’s TVK. Ponraj, who often identifies himself as an advisortothelateAPJAbdulKa lam, reportedly used highly offensive language against the women cadre. “Tamil society worships women as goddesses and has never forgiven those who demean them. Whether by ethics or by law, this is a punishable offense. Yet, the police remain silent spectators,” Anbumani said.
