Chennai: Making his second set of poll promises on Sunday, TVK president Vijay targeted youth promising financial aid for unemployed graduates, collateral-free education loans, safeguards for locals in private sector jobs, and a law to ensure transparency in govt recruitment.After announcing candidates for all 234 constituencies, Vijay said students from Class XII to PhD will be given collateral-free loans up to 20 lakh to ensure that none misses education due to financial constraints. “If the graduates were unable to get jobs even after turning 29 years, they will receive 4,000 per month while diploma holders will get 2,500 per month as assistance until they secure employment,” Vijay said. TVK proposed generating five lakh jobs by creating a ‘CM’s public service friends’ post in every panchayat and urban local body. They will deliver 100% govt services at doorsteps and earn 18,000 per month, he said.Vijay said he would enact ‘Tamil Nadu recruitment accountability and transparency Act’ to address irregularities in govt recruitment.In the private sector, he proposed a Tamil employment credit system, offering incentives to companies that maintain 75% of their workforce from Tamil Nadu.To promote entrepreneurship, he promised 25 lakh collateral-free loans and seed funding for 1.5 lakh ‘creatorpreneurs’ (digital content creators showcasing Tamil Nadu’s culture globally).In his earlier announcement on March 7, he targeted women voters. Vijay said he would make more announcements soon for the welfare of farmers, fishermen, teachers, weavers and others. Moving to his attack on the ruling party, Vijay reiterated that the election is a two-cornered fight between TVK and DMK — Vijay and Stalin.
